Scientists make gasoline out of water
The fuel is not only cheap, but also environmentally clean
Scientists from the German Sunfire GmbH company have constructed a machine that can produce synthetic fuel out of water. The new technology will help to get clean and cheap kerosene, gasoline or diesel fuel.
Hydrogen is produced out of water with the help of electrolysis. After that it turns carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide. Then the Fischer-Tropsch process is applied: it synthesizes carbon monoxide and hydrogen in high-quality fuel. The resulting fuel is not only cheap, but also environmentally clean.
According to the scientists, the device presented produces up to a barrel of fuel per day. The engineers are planning to construct a large unit for the use on industrial scale. The experts believe the new technology will significantly improve the situation with energy.
It is to be recalled that in England, human waste is used for refueling buses.
